I love to help brides choose the perfect music for their ceremonies. Since a bride’s processional music is the most important piece of music, it’s best to decide this first, then select the music for the other processionals (seating of mothers, bridesmaids, etc.).
I encourage my brides to take a few moments before they enter — let the music start first to announce their arrival — then slowly walk down the aisle, allowing guests & photographer the opportunity to take photos and, of course, time for their future husbands to admire how beautiful they are in their wedding gowns.
One of the benefits to having live Harp music for the ceremony is that I can time the music perfectly to the length of time it takes for the bride’s walk down the aisle. No fade in/out as with recorded music.
Leslie’s choice of “Hallelujah” was perfect for her processional. Her venue of Tavern & Chapel in the Garden, Orange City FL allowed for a long processional. I was able to play the entire piece, building beautifully to a dramatic climax when she & her father reached the gazebo. The effect was truly stunning.
